José Hernández – Maestro de Tenis

José has been teaching all levels of tennis for the past 12 years. Tennis is his life. He started at 17 years old and he proved himself by advancing very quickly and championing very experienced players within a few 8 months. A few years later he dedicated himself to compete in every tournament in the surrounding cites, even professional level tournaments where he passed the qualifier stage and progressed well into the main draws. After winning or as a finalist in virtually all those tournaments he decided to dedicate himself to teaching all levels of tennis. In fact, some of his students that started as beginners return from university level play to train with him during the summers.

José has also trained and played with former Davis Cup winners from Mexico and with current players he has trained and has learned much from their experience as players and others as coaches.

As a competitor he believes in emulating ones favorite professional player and his model was Gael Monfils the flamboyant French master. José’s teachers at the time lovinging called him Monfils de los Pobres, a Fond Mexican Nickname.
